Originally designed for Kurt Gutenbrunner’s Cafe Kristall in the Swarovski store in SoHo, the Kristall Mirror reflects the viewer in their space thirteen times.
Twelve flat mirrors frame a spherical mirror in the center of the piece. Thanks to the perpendicular angle between the central and the surrounding mirrors, the sphere is virtually completed, continuing beyond the boundaries of the space into the wall on which the object is hanging. The Kristall Mirror expands the space of the room, while simultaneously crystallizing what is in the room with viewer.
