Pyroceram Glass is a heat-resistant glass-ceramic that can withstand very high temperatures. It is actually a transparent version of ceramic.
Pyroceram was first used to create pots and pans. Since its inception, manufacturers have extended the use of Pyroceram Glass to commercial ovens, broilers, heat insulators, anti-aircraft missiles and architectural lighting. This glass is already being used for more than just heat-resistant cookware.
It is also effective in blocking ultraviolet radiation waves.

Manufacturers use a special rating system to evaluate the impact strength of ceramic glass when changing temperature. This rating system is called
thermal shock resistance. Pyroceram Glass has a high heat resistance. When hot Pyroceram Glass is poured with cold water, it does not crack or break
like regular glass. High resistance to thermal shock makes Pyroceram Glass an excellent choice for replacing glass in machinery, exposed to high temperatures.
