1) First, pre-prepared glass is attached to the spacer frame using sealant. For these purposes, butyl is usually used, which is applied evenly to the spacer frame, heated to a temperature of at least 115 degrees. Then, the structure can be pressed.

2) After pressing, a two-component sealant is applied to the outside. Polysulfide is usually used for these purposes. This sealant is elastic, which allows you to maintain insulation during transportation and operation of Insulated Glass Unit. The thickness of the coating depends on the area and type of window.

The Insulated Glass Units can be placed in a frame made of various materials. Most often, polyvinyl chloride, abbreviated as PVC, is used for these purposes. This material has been known for more than a hundred years, and PVC has been used for almost the entire time for the production of windows.

Polyvinyl chloride has gained great popularity due to its low cost and ease of installation. The standard color of this material is white, but by adding dyes, you can make a frame of any shade. Due to the pliability of this material, it is possible to produce PVC windows of any shape, which is especially important when building designer houses.

The production of wooden windows with Insulated Glass Units is significantly different from classic ones. Glued laminated timber is used for production. This allows you to avoid frame deformation under the influence of external factors and extend the service life to one hundred years. Additionally, wooden structures are treated with special impregnations and varnish, protecting the window from moisture, insects and constant exposure to ultraviolet radiation.

In the production of windows, ready-made timber is used, manufactured at woodworking enterprises. The timber is treated with chemicals, shaped into the required shape and assembled into a frame. Despite the fact that the production process of wooden frames is much more complicated, the functionality of the structures is in no way inferior to PVC windows.
